Wood Construction Workshop

The workshop will introduce participants to all the types of wood joints used in wood construction methods so that participants can make their own small object or either a workbench/banker from working drawings. The workshop includes complex jointing, de-constructive jointing with mixed materials, understanding the requirements for exterior wood products and the safe use of hazardous chemicals. Students should come with sturdy boots.

David Spence is a filmmaker and Sculptor based in the Sculpture Centre working in a variety of medias. He has a professional background in model engineering and pattern making.
