Introduction to Etching Workshop

This course will provide an introduction to etching and is suitable for beginners and those with some previous experience who would like to refresh their knowledge and improve their basic skills. Basic etching techniques including dry-point, etching using soft and hard ground and aquatint will be covered. Students will experiment with both aluminium and copper.

Cróna Gallagher is an award-winning artist living in Manorhamilton, County Leitrim. She is based in Leitrim Sculpture Centre, Manorhamilton. A specialist in Fine art Printmaking, with a particular emphasis on etchings, her work has been widely exhibited at national and international level and is held in both private and public collections including Caddebostan Cultural Centre, Istanbul, Awagami International, Japan and Ginestrelle contemporary art in Assisi, Italy among others.
