Residency - 8th September to 5th October 2025
Aindriú’s work positions tenderness and vulnerability in unconventional places. While his practice ranges widely across a number of different mediums, this process of matchmaking unlikely subject matters, materials and contexts is at its core. Influences from artists and writers such as Mark Leckey, Sondra Perry, Guillaume Dustan and William S. Burroughs are evident throughout. Installation is a major consideration in all of his work, taking into account exhibition spaces and contexts and tailoring pieces accordingly. Aindriú has a keen appreciation of craft and physical making, with woodworking and ceramics making a consistent appearance alongside painting and drawing.
