Exhibition Title

"Outside / Inside"

Exhibition Statement

This project involves going back to retrace and to see the remnants of home and place. The now abandoned family home, once a hotel, is photographed outside and then videoed from inside out. Using photographs, I made photo-etchings and photogravures and pigment prints. On the video sound track; I talk to my cousin Michael about our family childhood.  The memories are of a time and place that was uncomplicated. There was a decency and simplicity of feeling. It’s a recollection of family history where memory and feeling are one.
