Gavin Porter’s practice uses the mediums of drawing and etching to create a visual language through which he explores the territory between the real and the imagined, the sublime and the absurd. Referencing techniques observed in historical engravings, his work exploits the linear, monochrome qualities of these mediums to engage with the uncanny nature of natural forms and phenomena. In this one-person show many of his most recent creations are brought together at the LSC for the first time and include etchings, drawings and large-scale graphic compositions.

Exhibition curated by Séan O'Reilly.
