Alongside and intertwined with her painting practice Tinka Bechert works on collabarotive projects in a wide range of contexts and media. The artist is interested in differences and commonalities in artistic and scientific methodologies in order to explore the deep human need for reason as a common driving force- both in the arts and sciences.

Originally from Berlin, Tinka Bechert lives and works in Sligo, Ireland and Berlin, Germany. The artists´ work is represented in many private and public collections internationally such as the Office of Public Works, Ireland, the Central Art Archives/ National Library, Berlin, Germany and Tate Britain, London.
