Community Workshop
During this 3 day course you will learn the underlying techniques of screen printing and build your confidence to print independently. At the end of the course you will have learnt various stencil making techniques and gained a working knowledge of the photo emulsion stencil process by learning how to coat and expose screens. The course will focus on hand made stencil creation using a variety of methods and experimentation with colour.

Daniel Guest Born in 1983 Daniel is a printmaker and graphic designer living in Co. Sligo with a background in Primary and Special Needs education. Drawing on this experience Daniel works through Pulled to deliver arts education programs with a focus on print, illustration and self publishing. As a long time participant in DIY subculture in Ireland and the UK his work focuses on the arts as a vector for social inclusion and promotes participation by marginalized groups. Daniel also co-founded Spilt Milk, a music and arts festival in Sligo which has occurredannually since 2019. Educated at the University of Leeds.
Recent projects include Maker Class, Irish Wheelchair Association (November 2021 - Present) Regular weekly workshops in 3D design and printmaking with Young Adults at The Irish Wheelchair Association resource centres in Sligo and Carrick on Shannon. Youth City Project Worker, Cranmore Co-Op (Sept 2019 – Present) Facilitating regular creative workshops with a local youth group in Cranmore Sligo. Let’s Play Sligo – Artist, Sligo County Council (2022) – Developing and illustrating street games for an urban street play initiative. Art For Blind – Artist in Residence, The Model (2020-2022) A series of Live music events, film screenings and workshops at The Model, Sligo. This is Me - Hawkswell, Sligo (July 2019, July 2021) Collaborative Comic and printmaking project with Teenagers with ASD. Print INC, HSE/Branching Out (Sept 2019 – Nov 2019) A series of informal, social screen print and Intaglio workshops organised in collaboration with local young adults with Intellectual Disability. Art For Blind – Model Live Series (2018-2020) Live event curation at The Model, Sligo. Electric Homes Textile Project, National Museum of Ireland (May 2019) A Screen Print collaboration with local Artist Anna Spearman via Age & Opportunity. Co-Founder, Spilt Milk Festival (2018 - Present) Curated an experimental music and film festival in Sligo Nov 22nd-24th 2019.
