Jewellery Making and Small Metal Fabrication Workshop

This jewellery and small-scale metal fabrication course will be an opportunity to work in precious and non-precious metals. This course is designed for students who are interested in learning basic jewellery techniques and for those with some prior knowledge who want to improve existing skills. The course covers techniques such as design/metal preparation, piercing, soldering, forming, drilling, cutting and small hollow form construction. Students come with: Sketchbooks and source material for design ideas. All jewellery making tools and materials are supplied.

Soraya Ricalde is a goldsmith/jewellery designer from Spain with an established jewellery business for the last 16 years. She supplies a number of outlets throughout Ireland and abroad. Soraya is living and working in North Leitrim and has a studio at the Leitrim Sculpture Centre.
