Introduction to Black and White Film Processing Workshop

This workshops is entry level and designed to establish good working practices when processing film. During the course participants are shown how to shoot film in their camera and then process it in the darkroom. The central focus of the workshop is to enable the participant to pre-visualise the outcome they want to achieve and to calibrate the camera and processing chemistry to achieve this outcome. Participants should bring a working 35mm SLR or Medium Format Camera (120) with manual shutter speed - aperture controls.

Darn Thorn was born in Sligo, Ireland and holds a MA in Fine Art from Monash University, Australia. He has exhibited in Australia, China, Ireland, The Netherlands, Norway & the UK and has taught darkroom photography at Universities in Australia and Ireland.
