Artists in Residence 2019
Leitrim Sculpture Centre

Applications for 2019 now closed

Leitrim Sculpture Centre in association with the Arts Council awards four Professional Development Residencies during the months of August, September and November 2019. The residency provides artists, and other creative practitioners working in the field of contemporary visual arts, with the space and time for research towards the development of new work.

Specifically the scheme supports those wishing to explore new directions in their practice through experimental approaches to different materials, processes, ideas and/or techniques.

Significantly this is offered to artist-researchers without the pressure of having to produce an exhibition, or specific project outcome-conclusion, during or at the end of the period.

Each residency includes an artist’s stipend of €1,000 and in addition comes with residential accommodation for one month; a private and heated studio with broadband internet; the use of the chosen LSC facilities and basic energy use. Period of residency is for a min of 4 weeks.

For more information and guidelines on how to apply, please download the Residency guidelines

LSC acknowledge the financial support of the Arts Council and Leitrim County Council Arts Office in making these residencies possible. All residencies are subject to funding to be confirmed in early 2019.
