Open Circle - December 05

Open Circle is an idea formed around a group of local artists whose aim is to  organise an eclectic and non hierarchical exhibition based on an open and inclusive call to local artists  living in the North West.

The exhibition usually occurs once a year during Christmass time and gives the chance of showing to many artists whose work might not otherwise  be seen.

The project also supports the work and professional development of younger and emerging artists who have not exhibited before.

The Open Circle organisers send out an open invitation to a wide range of artists living in the North West during October time.

Artists submit 2/3 slides or cd of work with a cv and a short statement.

A selection of work is made by a committee made up of the Open Circle organisers, one artist and the  Director of the Leitrim Sculpture Centre.
